2013 Scoring program – rotation draw, mail merge, music

2013 Scoring program – rotation draw, mail merge, music

The scoring program does more than just score and rank athletes, display and distribute of scores, allow for judge evaluation, , etc., it can be the hub for a lot of before-event activities.

If the meet organizer populates the athlete list early using the scoring program (versus a few days before the event), they, and the other committee chairpeople, get to enjoy the following time-saver features:

  • Automated rotation draw, automatic assignment of athlete ID and the creation of the first draft of single panel rotation for each of the apparatus. Once you have these documents you can copy and paste into your event document or souvenir program for print purposes. For example these materials can be used at the judging table, for music, scoring, and by coaches, floor marshals , and the audience
  • After the rotation draw you can export the athlete list into a separate Excel workbook for mail merge purposes. For example, pre-printed execution forms, calculation summary sheet (if used), participation certificates and all those other items that are individualized, such as gift bags and ID badges.. Samples and templates of ready to use documents are here. Details of the Scoring program mail merge process can be found in the appendix of the user guide.
  • A brand new electronic music submission module is being developed and tested. The scoring program, after the rotation draw, can export the athlete list to the music management module. More information will be released later.
